Added (1). i have replaced the erg unit with no change. Could it be that the cheap air intake thats in place of the stock air box is the problem because the air flow sensor is not plugged in? Bought it this way, might put in a stock setup because of the obd2 system (if this could help)

Hi That is hardly surprising given it's age a simple two cents part is never going to last for ever.

EGR is a real waste of time. You'd be best planking it off with a $2 plate from ebay

I have a 1996 honda prelude si (4th gen) with a h23 engine and I want to swap my head to a h22 and I couldn't find any 4th generation being part out, but I did find a 1997 honda prelude (5th gen) being part out and I'm not sure if it'll fit my engine.
