1994 Honda Accord Starting Problem?

I have a 1994 Honda Accord EX. When I turn the key to start the car, it just sputters and dies. The only way to get it to start is to turn the key and hold it in the on position while continuously stepping on the gas pedal until it revs up and catches then it stays on. After I get it started up it idles rough and sputters. After driving the car, when I get to a stop light it idles extremely low and usually doesn't cut off but it has a couple of times. Then I have to repeat the cranking process to get it started again. My check engine light comes on when this happens and have taken it to numerous shops hoping one has the machine to read the code but no one does. I've had the spark plugs, air filter, and catalytic converter replaced. Didn't get fuel filter replaced bc the mechanic quoted me an outrageous price. I've had mechanics come to look at it and give me their opinions but its always different. I've been told IAC valve, distributor rotor and cap, fuel filter, fuel pump, main relay, ect. Does anyone have any idea if any of these listed is the problem or is it something else? If so, what is the problem?

You can test the fuel pump at home, without the car running, just turned on. The fuel pump pressure gauge is like $30, but auto stores let you use them for a deposit. The fuel pump relay should be checked, and replaced if a new pump is done.

Maybe you have an incorrect spark plug gap? Could be a worn cap/rotor

If has fuel injection, pumping the gas pedal makes zero difference, likely the cold start valve is stuck open and the temperature sender may have failed, that combination could cause all your problems, a dirty mass air meter could also cause that
