1996 Honda Accord Scraping Noise When Starting Car?
It doesn't make this noise on every start/turn over. But the car does start every time. Sounds like a scraping/screeching noise to me. This noise started right after I had a new starter put in.
Any ideas? Where should I go from here? Is it serious?
The new starter was not properly installed, and the scraping is the result. Take it back to the mechanic who did the job and ask that the problem be rectified.
That is the starter it is not engaging right time for a new one
- We have a 2006 Honda CBR. When you drive it, there's a loud whirring noise coming the back underneath side. What could cause that noise? The noise is situated around a CV boot on the left underneath side where the differential connects to the middle.
- After replacing our car battery, our remote starter just turns and turns without actually starting the car? My wife has a 2010 Honda Fit and we just had to replace the battery. We got a remote starter installed from Best Buy in either 2010 or 2011. But after the recent battery replacement, the remote starter responds by just cranking and not starting. It does like three sets of cranking before stopping. I don't remember the brand of remote starter, but anyone have any insight of what I need to do?
- My 2014 Honda CRV makes a strange noise after starting? It happens about 30 seconds after starting the car and sounds like a buzzing/vibrating sound coming from the dash. Any idea what this could be? Does not sound to be coming from the engine compartment so I think it is something electronic happening in the dash and it only happens after we start the car. It typically only happens once. Any ideas? Thanks And the noise only lasts 2-3 seconds then goes away and doesn't happen again until I turn the car on again.
- Lowered Honda Civic is scraping exhaust backbox over speedbumps? I have a 1998 Honda Civic which is lowered 40mm and 15" wheels but the exhaust backbox scrapes when I drive or reverse from my driveway. What can I do to not let this happen? Would 16 or 17" wheels raise the car a little and prevent backbox hitting the ground?
