1997 Honda Accord won't shift out first gear, new TPS just installed, idle very low upon start up?
I really really need help on my car. I'm running out of options, and I have tried everything with my knowledge and research on forums/youtube.
My car recently got new transmission fluid with a full flush because I had thought it would fix my idle jumping issue. Sadly, it didn't so I concluded that I had a bad tps/IAC valve. I replaced them both, but now my car does not shift gears and idles very low and slowly climbs.
What could be the issue? I have cleaned out the throttle body as well as the FICV.
Please advise. =/
Also, my car can't be taken out of park without me plugging in the the release hole.
Added (1). Update: I meant my car idles very low and slowly climbs upon start up.

How about the timing? Have you checked the marks on both cam and crank like the diagram in this link:

What is the fuel pressure? Have you ever thought about it?

About the stuck in park problem, it could be the brake light fuse, the brake light switch:
or the Shift lock solenoid is in the console has failed. The shift interlock solenoid is under the shift console. You have to remove the center console between the seats and then you'll be able to see the shift solenoid. I have had bunches of these that just got gummed up from coffee/cola spillage, it might be worth a try to spray the plunger with WD-40 and work it a little bit.

Honda transmissions should not be "flushed" --- they should be drained.
But honestly, sounds like your brake switch is broke.
Go to Autozone and pick up a Brake Switch for $27.00 Disconnect the ground wire from the battery. Locate the brake switch (just above the brake pedal), loosen the nut and unscrew the old brake switch and reinstall. Connected the ground wire to the battery.

- 98 Honda Accord won't shift out of drive? When I stopped my Honda in a parking lot and tried to shift into park my shifter handle ran forward but the light on the dash cluster stayed on drive, now I can't move my handle out of the park position and I can't start the engine because you obviously can't start an automatic in drive. Any ideas would be helpful because I'm out of them.
