1999 Honda Accord. Check Engine light came on?
It's not flashing, so I hear that's better than flashing. Thing is I'm broke until next week. I have $100 to spend on this car until next pay.
Are there any good spots that check what my problem is for free?
I did research and Maaco offers a free engine check, but I was wondering how reliable and honest are they and if there are any other auto shops worth looking into.
I'm a 21 year old working college student from San Jose, CA in case location was a needed criteria.
Most major chain auto parts store will use the error reader (for free) to determine why your engine light is on. Your correct in that you can drive the car while the engine light is on, but not why the eng light is flashing.
Go to Advance auto or auto Zone. At least they won't try to sell you a transmission!
- Check engine light, open door light, and batterie light all came on and won't go off? 2000 Honda Odyssey I already had the altinator replaced it a month old. The batterie almost a year old. Would the belt need be changed or something else?
- Engine Light Came Back On? I have an 05 Honda Coupe with a 2.4 manual, but as I was driving it one day the engine light came on. Took it down to the mechanic and they scanned the code and found it was an oxygen sensor. Light when away after replacement. Day later the engine light came back on.
- Honda crv engine light came on. Had the code scanned. Mechances said to replace distributor? The engine light is on but car still works fine. The light has been on 10 days. Will a new distributor get that light off?
