2002 Honda Accord problem with aftermarket radio install?

Re: 2002 Honda Accord aftermarket car stereo installation Help Please! The fuse behind the brand new Sony radio keeps blowing immediately after turning ignition key. Ruled out the harness and the radio itself since both were returned. Tried disconnecting the battery during installation too. Pressed the reset button behind faceplate. Keep in mind that the radio fuse in the fuse box never blows only the radio fuse. Factory radio worked perfectly prior to install. Maybe has something to do with this model and year?

Who knows

It's obviously a short to ground. You've connected it wrong somehow. Read the user manual. If that doesn't help contact the manufacturer or a distributor of that stereo.

  • How to install aftermarket alarm with power door locks? My car has power door locks however I don't think '02 Honda Civic LX came with the keyless entry module built in. I want to put in a keyless entry so that I don't have to lock/unlock the doors with the key. Isn't there something underneath the steering column that I can plug a "keyless receiver to? Since I have power door locks would I still need to do wiring of some sort? Just so you know, I'm somewhat handy and would want to save money doing it myself.
  • Aftermarket stereo install and one speaker stopped working? I finished installing a pioneer head unit into my 1998 honda civic but when I was done only 3 out of 4 speakers were working. My front passenger speaker was not working, i pulled out the speaker to check those connections and they were fine. The speaker was working before the install. Should I just put new speakers in?
  • 2001 Honda civic ex after market radio install? I bought an after market radio for my car. Took out the old one attached the wire harness to the new one. However when I tried to plug it in to the car connectors it did not fit. What is going on the harness is the correct one I've checked a few times and I have even gotten a new harness to make sure it wasn't just a factory mistake.
