2004 Honda accord radio not working well?
I recently got a used 2004 Honda accord EX, and everything is working fine but the radio. What is odd to me is that some stations work, and some don't. For instance, 106.1 sounds perfectly clear, but 101.9 doesn't work at all.
The sound that comes from non functioning stations is a loud fuzzy noise. It's as if the station is overrun with static, and is very annoying. I've looked all over the Internet but haven't found anyone with the same problem.
Please, if anyone knows what the problem is here or needs me to clear anything up, let me know.
That is normal with any radio. The clarity of the station depends on the signal strength you are receiving depending on your location. If the local station is near your city, or have an antenna transmitter near you, then their signals will be most likely clear. If they are too far, then their signal will be weak and the radio will not be able to produce clear sound.
I just stay away with stations that are weak, I just save the strong stations on the pre-set buttons or listen to my own music through my phone or mp3 player.
Sometimes I don't get any stations at all when inside a parking structure.
If you like to try, there are FM signal booster for the car that amplifies weak signals to get a clearer sound for your FM.
- How many miles will a 2004 Honda CR-V last, of it was maintained well and not driven hard? I was given a 2004 Honda CR-V by an elderly woman. It has 225K miles and she was the only owner, with no accidents.
- 2013 Honda CRV radio not working? I went through all the audio settings and turned up the volume but their was no sound playing from the radio. Someone please help me out.
- Honda civic display not working after fitting an after market radio. How to fix? Hi, I have just fitted an aftermarket radio on my 2006 Honda civic and it doesn't allow you to connect the lead from the top display (one which shows radio station, Aircon) to the new radio so there's no power getting to it. Does anyone know if I can get a splitter or something to power the radio and the display?
- Cooling fan not working, 2004 Honda civic? I've unplugged the temp sensor and put a wire in the plug to test the fan and it comes on when I do that, so the relay has to be working and the fan isn't broken either. I switched the Temperature sensor hoping the old one was just broken, but my car's still over heating and the fan won't come on. It was working perfectly fine until just last week. Anyone know what the problem could be?
