2016 Honda Accord Ex-L i4 or Ex-L V6?

So I'm getting a new car soon, but can't seem to decide which to go with. My boyfriend and dad both say to go with the 4-cylinder but, since right now I drive a Toyota Camry V6, I feel as if getting a 4 cylinder will be a set back. I really like the acceleration of my current car, gas is ehh not too bad, and want my next car to be similar. I've never owned a 4 cylinder so I don't know if it ll be to my liking. Should I just stick to what I'm used to and get the V6? Or will the 4 cylinder have enough power to where it's not much of a difference? Also if there's a difference in longevity between the 2 that d be great to know. This might be dumb to ask but I'm just not familiar with 4 cylinders except with my moms 2002 honda accord which has mechanical problems.

How about test driving both at the dealership.

Hi girl as a driver of a 4 cylinder 4x4 having a V8 is not always the answer. As we have hills here in the united kingdom some long ones i can easliy leave the V8 behind on a long hill. Typically a Range Rover sport eats my dust. In my Toyota land cruiser 4 cylinder diesel. So when i see this question i have to say it's not always teach but the NUT behind the steering wheel.

The four is so much easier and cheaper to work on. Honda only made the V6 because of peer pressure.

-- The 4 cylinder engines from Honda has sufficient power in getting you from point A to B. Downgrading from a 6 to a 4, you will notice the power drop and inevitably miss your V6 engine. But after a few months, you'll adjust to the 4 cylinder. In terms of practicality, the 4 cylinder is cheaper to run and manage (considering insurance, tax and fuel cost), vs a V6 engine.

My recommendation: Buy the 4 with "extra goodies." (i.e. Heated leather seats, satellite navigation, park assist, bluetooth).

  • 2016 MINI Cooper Hardtop 4 Door or 2016 Honda Fit for first car? I love cute and comfy. Mostly just to get to and from work at Disney, but I'm also a big traveler so would love something comfy and cozy that sort of resembles my personality (I know- I'm cheesy) I know nothing about cars and this will be my first! I'm 19 and have waited to get my license for way too long so I'm working on it in Driving 101 and should take the test next month!
  • Should I get a 2016 Honda CR-V EX AWD or a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek 2.1i Limited? I'm trying to decide between the two. They are both the same price at my dealers. I'm probably going to end up moving to Colorado but I don't think I will go off road at all. Which of these is the better car? Which do you think will last longer?
  • Which car is better, the 2016 Honda Civic EX-T or the 2016 Mazda 6 i sport? I'm getting a new car next month, and my choices have been cut down to these two cars. I'm having difficulty deciding. Which one is better? Please list spec differences (exterior and interior) as well as the reasoning behind your decision.
  • Which car is better 2016 Honda Civic coupe or 2016 Hyundai Genesis coupe? I'm looking for a new car and these two are the only cars that fit my budge as a sporty car. The Honda Civic has a v cylinder engin and Genesis has v6. Civic offers Apple car play whereas Genesis does not… They both have many pors and cons to them and I can't decide which one is better and worthwhile… Please I need opinions!
