91 Honda Accord Belt Sqeels And Loses Power on Acceleration?
My 1991 Honda Accord 214xxx miles Has Always Had a Belt Sqeel Only On Startup and lasts Only 4 secs
But Recently since winter is coming its colder and the belt sqeels longer on startup as well as this new problem of when i accelerate it sqeels louder and i feel the car like not speeding up or no acceleration with it sqeeling like the belt is not grabbing and its not accelerating the car once the sqeeling stops i gain power again and can accelerate Normally
Now The Belt I Think The Serpentine Belt Its Called its Connected to the alternator and the 2nd belt is connected to the power steering which belt do i need to work on the belts are tight as they should be so what is causing the sqeeling and slipping?
The alternator (and A/C, if equipped) belt is the troublemaker. The alternator load is heaviest after starting, which is why the squeal appears then. But it is a good idea to replace both belts - they are cheap and are probably about the same age and condition.
- Prius: Can someone explain the power usage meter & specific difference between power mode and Eco mode? My brother just got me a Prius to replace my old beater Honda and I'm having difficulty understanding the power usage meter (meter on dash with "Charge-Eco-Power") and the difference in the Eco & Power modes. I do understand the charge bit on the meter.
- Our 2006 honda odyssey lost acceleration/power and was towed? Was towed. On first start now, it starts for 1 second and immediately turns off. On second start, it only whines like a flooding sound. The engine light is on. The van is stranded. Please let me know where to start. What do these symptoms mean? What are the signs of a bad egr valve? It it air or fuel intake? Spark plugs are fairly new. Starter is fairly new. Our budget is very small.
- P1009 code\Acceleration issues with 2010 Honda Accord? My car has having issues with acceleration recently it will not go past 2 RM or 20 miles per hous unless I'm literally pressing the pedal to the medal. Error codes P1009\P0341\P0300\P0301\P0302\P0303\P030… Popped up when I got it scanned. I got it fixed less than a week ago (the mechanic cleaned the VTC solenoid) it worked fine now it just started having the same problems it was having before. Does anyone know a way to permanently solve this issue?
