A 1997 honda accord with 4 wheel drive?
I'm currently looking at a car to buy and there's a 1997 honda accord and the guy selling it claims the car has 4 wheel drive. The car looks original (not modified). I have looked it up and found nothing about a 97 accord having this as an option. Is he just mistaken, or was in an option?
No, FWD is Front Wheel Drive not Four Wheel Drive on that car. Look for a drive train to the rear wheels. It's not there.
Look at the owner's manual. Look for a variable selector to take it in and out of 4 wheel drive; there isn't one
Honda does not make an all wheel drive Accord. If the seller said FWD, he meant Front Wheel Drive.
A Honda Accord will need to be modified to be 4WD, maybe he made a mistake… He should have put FWD (Front Wheel Drive), unless you got it wrong.
The guy said "plus, its got 4 wheel drive, so its good in the rain and snow…"
The man is lying to you. The only Accord Honda ever produced with 4WD is the Honda Accord Crosstour
- Why do honda street racers put spoilers/ wings on their front wheel drive cars? In Los Angeles i see alot of street racers driving hondas witg huge spoilers on the back… Doesn't that make a front wheel drive slower

- I have a 1997 Honda CRV all wheel drive. And it keeps overheating? I have checked all of the fluids and they are full. There are no leaks from the radiator or hoses, the antifreeze is full and the car keeps overheating. I haven't replaced the thermostat yet but is there something else that I'm NOT checking that could cause it?
- Will a new Honda Accord be as reliable as a 1997 Honda Accord? My dad has had Honda Accords since 1977. Now his 1997 Accord has over 350,000 miles on it and he wants to buy a new one but he's nervous that a new one won't be as reliable as his old ones.
