Are there any performance chips which will actually work to improve performance in my 07 Accord 4 cyl?
So, I'm considering buying a chip for my car. Does anyone out there have experience with them in Hondas? Which ones work and which ones don't. Any dyno testing? I want a low-priced performance upgrade, but I don't want to waste my money.
Added (1). I will need tobacco? Now I'm really confused. I want my K engine to have slightly more power. What's wrong with that?
Chips do nothing for your car. They are a gimmick to get your money. The only way to possibly change the performance of your car is to buy a reprogrammer for the brain in your car… There are not cheap upgrades. Cold air intakes don't work either.
Chips are so last century. You'll need tobacco use a digital ECU tuner. Try Hondata, though modify your economy K engine is probably a waste of time.
You can increase power slightly at the expense of fuel economy, engine life, and emissions control. Honda spent millions of dollars tuning the engine for good life, best fuel economy, emission control, and best power consistent with all that. Throwing in numbers from some hack shop will not improve on that. Honda would have done better if it could be done. Nearly all manufacturers will invalidate the power train warranty if the programming is ever changed, even if they are changed back (yes, they can tell). If the top experts take that stand it tells you how messed up the "chip" idea really is.
I have a friend who was very into tuning his Dodge Ram. He stopped when he was on his fourth engine and third transmission. I think I would have stopped before that…
- After replacing our car battery, our remote starter just turns and turns without actually starting the car? My wife has a 2010 Honda Fit and we just had to replace the battery. We got a remote starter installed from Best Buy in either 2010 or 2011. But after the recent battery replacement, the remote starter responds by just cranking and not starting. It does like three sets of cranking before stopping. I don't remember the brand of remote starter, but anyone have any insight of what I need to do?
- Does High Performance chips work on hybrids? I have a 2007 honda civic hybrid and i was wondering does those performance chips or car performance programers work on hybrids? I heard they give better gas mileage and more power? I need one because my car does have much horse power and the MPG isn't good anymore because i have Performance tires with Honda Civic Si rims.

- What are some affordable modifications I can make to my car to improve performance and maybe spruce the? I have a white1995 Honda Accord Ex wagon with 225 miles in it. It has a few rust spots and requires some basic maintenance, which I'll take care of myself. I'm going to add a cold air intake and am looking for other things I could do to customize my car so it's something I like to drive. I'm not looking to spend big bucks but if there are any good ideas I'm willing to the work? Also I'd like cover up the the white worn out paint.
