Automatic car to stick shift?
I have a 2001 Honda accord and it is an automatic transmission. My parents bought me the car as an early Christmas gift last year. My friend has a stick car and it just seems so much more fun to have stick (yes I can drive stick). I don't want to sell it because I just got a subwoofer installed. So how can I do this or where can I get it done.
Not worth the cost - don't bother - much easier to remove a subwoofer sell the car and buy a stick shift vehicle. The change over is fraught with potential problems unless you have a complete donor car - and even then - a real expensive proposition.
This would cost much more than the car is worth. If you want a stick, sell the car and buy yourself a car with a stick.
Converting that car from auto to stick will cost more than the car is worth. What's the point? The value of your woofer is tiny in comparison.
Changing an automatic transmission to a manual will cost more than your 13 year old car is worth and certainly way more than the cost of installing a sub-woofer.
It's not as simple as you seem to think. If -- if-- you could find someone to do it, it would be so expensive that you would be better to sell the car and buy one already with a manual shift.
It will cost you twice as much as the car is worth. Much cheaper to move the sub to a manual one.
- What's a good stick shift car for a start up car? Ok, so it's time for me to start up and I want a car that helps me save money on I was thinking of a Honda or a Subaru. Can you guys please help me with a starting car?
- Should I save up for car or stick with truck? Okay my family has 3 trucks, they gave me one that's usally sitting around. Excellent condition. Toyota tacoma 2003 4x4 with sr5. Only thing I hate is the mpg. I have a part time job and in high school as a sophomore. Should I start to save up for a car (mazda, scion, honda) with much better mpg or just stick with the truck? It gets about 15 mpg. I was looking to get a a car around 5k.
- Honda Amaze automatic or Hyundai Xcent automatic? Which would be better purely in terms of performance, acceleration, smooth and fast gearshifts and handling, i mean the better drivers car. I know hondas transmission and engines are great, but is the hyundai as good too? Even though the xcent has only 4 gears, i.e. 1 less than the amaze, it has tiptronic, would this by any chance improve the driving experience? I sadly don't have the opportunity to test drive these cars.
- Will starter from an automatic 2000 Honda civic LX fit on a automatic 2000 Honda civic HX? The lx is a 5 gear transmission and the hx is a CVT transmission. With the starter fit? Mine went out on my hx
