Can a newer car with high miles still be a good running vehicle?

Say I got a year 2012 or a 2013 Honda Accord or Nissan Altima for example and I ran them up to 150,000 miles. Considering they are very new should they have any problems verses say like an older vehicle from the early 2000's late 90's with high miles (100,000+) that usually have problems every month?

Added (1). I'm asking if age difference makes a difference in a cars mechanical ability to perform.

Added (2). I'm asking if a vehicles age can be a contributing factor.

Yes a newer car with unusually high miles can be a reliable and mechanically sound car but do not mistake this for trouble free or cost free. Miles are miles and the car will need it's mileage based maintenance schedule met on quicker basis obviously. With age comes longer term wear and tear items that come due for service and in some cases you will have both even on the newer car add up. The average driver puts 15,000 miles per year on their vehicle.

With that kind of miles on a 1-2 year old car, its all highway. So it would be running like new because the parts don't get wear/tear as something that's driving around the city. I had a 2010 Chevy Express back in 2012 with 110,000 miles. Original brake pads still had 60% life left. The interior was like new. The engine started like new. Transmission shifted like new.

When cars get old the rubber/plastic pieces start to break down due to being in the elements. A 10 year old car with 60,000 miles isn't going to be as reliable as a 1 year old car with 200,000 miles. So vehicle age is a very big contributing factor, even if its well maintained somethings gonna go.
