Can I jack my car up from the front tow hooks?

My 2006 Honda Accord has two tow hooks in the front located in front of/near both of the front two wheels. Is it safe to jack up the car from there and then put the jack stands on the pinch welds? My jack doesn't reach the solid metal piece running across from one tire to the other.

The jack also does not have a wide enough lift to properly jack up from the pinch welds, they keep slipping/folding when jacking it up from there.

Added (1). It also looks like the hooks are welded to the frame of the car

No. In practice, you may get away with it, however tow hooks are meant to withstand large forces pulling forward, not to the side, up, etc. Your last resort should be, if you absolutely have to jack up the car by them, crawl under and find a framerail on the unibody to place jackstands.

The tow hooks are usually welded to the front bumper reinforcement bar so they should be OK to use as a jacking point as long as the jack cradle can engage them without slipping off as the jack reaches higher. A better option would be to place the jack cradle under the lower control arms for the front wheels if possible and jack up from there… In some cases, you may need to turn the tires to full rotation to get enough clearance to roll the jack under the arms from more of a sideways angle. Always set the parking brake or chock wheels when jacking. The rocker panel pinch welds usually have a slot on each end inboard by several inches where the standard jack would engage in and that is where they are the strongest point to place a jack stand.
