My aunt is looking for a new car?
My aunt is looking for a new car as her current one was made in 2001 and is starting to have some problems. So, this is what she's considering, and I'd like to know which of these is the best:
Buick Verano
Chevy Malibu
Honda Accord
Hyundai Sonata
Kia Optima
Mazda6
Nissan Altima
Subaru Legacy
Toyota Camry
My aunt will most likely buy a new car, or a slightly used one. So, which of these would you recommend as the best of them?
You should go to the library and look at the Consumer Reports Car issue, out now. It talks about each car, the pros and cons, the real value over time, and other important issues. Those are neutral reviews and provide a lot of good information.
The the vehicles you have mentioned are good quality and reliable automobiles. You can do your research, on sites such as edmunds.com, to see how they are rated and reviewed. Personal preference will be key. Your auto needs to get out to test drive these choices.
I would divide these cars into two categories - appliances and appliances that have a fun factor. My pick for the appliance category would be a Hyundai Sonata. You get better value for money in purchase price or equipment as well as comparable quality control than you would buying an overpriced Toyota or Honda that has seen its quality control go downhill. If you need AWD, then go for the Subaru Legacy. In fun factor category, the Mazda 6 is the obvious winner. It handles well, is a lot of fun, and doesn't cost a fortune to maintain.
All of those cars are good choices. I wouldn't eliminate any of them from my list. Drive them all, inspect them all, check the prices on them all. Then start eliminating them based on what you can afford and which one you like the most. Generally, you'll end up with two or three at the top of your list, then it comes down to price.
- Will a car dealership work with me if I'm gonna lease a new car, while trading in the car I have, which has an outstanding loan against it? The car I have now has a loan against it which is worth more than the trade in value of the car by about $5000. If me and a family member were BOTH looking to lease a new car (so 2 new cars), does anyone know if a dealership will be working to work with me in any way? Also the cars looking to be leased are not high end or luxury cars, they d be coming from a dealership like Honda, Toyota, or Subaru.
- Got a car, no life and wanna drive away to somewhere new and start a new life but how? I'm older, my parents are getting elderly. My sibling is in rehab and my family onlycares about him. I have no friends, no kids and i'm tired of living in my state for 35 years. Seeing the same ppl, same buildings, ugh. I just bought a new honda and honestly i just wanna get in my car and go. I have no money tho and only have a associate degree. What should i do? Apply to a college out of state? Just leave?
