Hobda Accord vs Mazda 3 vs Honda Civic Si vs Toyota Corolla S?

Want reliable, and good on mpg while still looking like a car a 19 year old college student should be driving.

These are all among the most reliable cars made (except the Mazda. Mazda scores lower than Honda and Toyota but still ahead of US cars in 'frequency of repair').

Civic and Corolla are positioned head-to-head in the market. They cost about the same and are about the same size, speed, economy, etc. The Accord and Camry are bigger, actually 'family sedans', so not as economical (but nearly). If you get a good used one, properly taken care of, you could hardly go wrong. Whichever you get you'll like it!

Toyota Corolla S

What the heck is a hobbda?

I just bought a 2013 Toyota Corolla S about 3 weeks ago and have loved it so far. The price was great ($15,400). I put 7k down and am paying $180 per month for 60 months now. My insurance is also only $100 a month (I'm 21 years old).

I get about 30 miles to the gallon. Filling up the tank is about $30.

The 2013 model has blue tooth, so I can play my music and takes calls from my car while driving.

I'm a college student and wanted something that was going to be really reliable, and wouldn't empty my bank account (I'm also an Army vet, so all my savings were from my last deployment).
The corolla has been a good choice so far and I would definitely recommend it.

Mazda 3

  • What is better a 2014 Honda Civic or 2014 Toyota Corolla? I'm looking at these cars in terms of price and more "bang for your buck." Both seem interesting to me and I have yet to test drive them. The Honda Civic seems like it is the better car based on reviews but the newly redesigned Toyota Corolla looks better than previous versions and is slightly cheaper than the Civic. Which one should I consider looking towards? Please do not mention any other car, I'm only focused on these two at the moment.
  • Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla Altis? Which should I choose? Honda Civic: 1,798 CC 141 PS 5 M/T OR Toyota Corolla Altis: 1,598 CC 122 PS 6 M/T (I like Honda Civic because it has a 1.8 L displacement but I also like the 6 speed manual transmission of Toyota Corolla Altis because we don't have 6 speed manual transmission Honda Civic here in the Philippines) So which should I choose?
  • Are 300cc sport bikes faster than your average car? As an example, Honda civic and Toyota Corolla vs ninja 300 and yamaha r3 I've heard that small displacement sport bikes are faster than your average car, and was wondering if it was true. By faster I mean faster acceleration, highway passing, and cornering.
