Honda accord k20 engine tapping?
I have replaced a faullty camshaft and replaced the timing chain and tensioner reset the valve clearances more times than I can remember. But I have this consistent tapping especially when the engine is cold. When I use a stephescope to pinpoint the tapping the noise seems most loud near the engine mounting nearest the front of the engine (timing chain end) you can still hear the tapping when the engine is not but it is not as loud in fact the noise is almost but gone on tickover. Has anybody got any ideas
You have to think the rocker itself or the rocker shaft is worn out, right? But put the feeler in and grab the rocker and try to move it. Also, the oil is getting where it should, right?
- Will this engine fit into my 97 accord with the same engine mounts as a stock one? http://www.ebay.com/...nda-accord will this h22 fit into my 97 accord without modifying any engine mounts
- Will a 1999 Honda Accord engine fit into a 1997 accord? I found a 1999 engine for an accord. I just need to know does it fit a 1997. Or any other make or model
- Can a 16.L engine fit into a 1998 Honda Civic LX? (before doing engine swap)? I had an blown motor on my 1998 Honda Civic LX, I have new spark plugs, distributor cap and some other items, however, since the old spark plugs happened to be melted as well, I have no option other to do a engine swap. I've been doing some research, and it seems like I only have the 1.6L engine as a option. By the way, the blown motor is a D16Y8, and is automatic.
- Where is/are the jack point(s) on the engine in a '97 Honda CR-V, for replacing the engine and trans mounts? When replacing engine mounts in any vehicle, one step is to lift the engine slightly. On my '97 Honda CR-V, the bottom side of the engine appears to be mostly obscured by the oil pan. (Of course, trying to use the pan would result in disaster.) Images would be great… Detailed images with arrows, etc, would ROCK!
