Honda accord minor trouble starting?
I have a 06 honda accord 3.0 v6 vtec coupe (auto tranny). The last few weeks I have noticed a slight lag before it gets started. No bad sounds no grinding, clicking or anything out of the norm. Just the engine working to turn on. If I give it a rev wile I'm starting it will start up with no problem. About a month ago I also had a pretty hardcore audio system installed (speakers subs amps h-o deck) without adding a capacitor. Could my battery just need some more juice? Do I need a new battery? Is my starter starting to go? It has 78k miles and I haven't had this issue to recently. I also do bring my car to high rpm quite often.
Have or check the draw at the battery with the amp on and off. You must have 12 volts plus on a start. A load teat of the battery when fully charged will tell if the battery is the issue. Starter can be tested as well on a tester as it will read high voltage draw. The fuel pump could be going bad but if this starter issue started at the same point as the amp I would guess your amp needs to be powered from a fused source and Is directly powered from the battery. A relay installed in line could solve the issue. It could be installed under the hood near the battery and be tripped on only after engine is running.
High power stereo hunh… Check your battery. Capacitors do nothing to fix power deficiencies of stereo equipment since you can't get more power out than there's going in, so it's good you didn't waste money on one. Back to the issue; If your charging system can't keep up with the needs of the stereo, your battery will be left weak and there won't be enough power to blast the stereo plus run the engine.
- Is trouble shooting a helmet lock the same as trouble shooting a key stuck in a door? I have a Honda VFR and the key is stuck in the helmet lock. Its all the way in and turned slightly but won't budge. I just need to know if i should try lube before i call a locksmith.
- Every time I stop to get gas in my 2003 Honda element, it has trouble starting? My car recently had a completely new engine put in and now when I get gas it takes a few tries to get it started. So I put a new battery in and now I have to put my foot on the gas pedal while starting it for it to start. But it's only when I stop to get gas this happens. Every time other than that it starts just fine, no problem at all. Does anyone have any ideas what is going on?

- New starter, alternator and battery but I still have trouble starting my car? I have a honda accord, 110,000 miles. The battery, alternator and starter test good but half the time I try to start my car it will not start. It will click multiple times, the i try again and it starts. The clicking happens if I drive about 10 minutes and then turn off the engine and try and start it again 5-10 minutes later.
