If it has platinum plugs every 60,000 miles.
If Iridium plugs were put in they go a good 90,000 miles. If they were never changed you'd know it by now!
If the engine starts missing it's time to change the plugs. Mine has gone 166,000 and still works fine.
They should have been changed no later than 100,000 miles of if it was missing. If you have never changed them do it today.
- Would you purchase a 2004 Honda pilot for $6,000.000 that has 216,000 miles on it? I'm just browsing online looking at cars for sale and a lot of them have 200k or more miles on them and they want $4,000 or more. Why do people sale their cars for such a high price with a lot of miles on them? Its not just Hondas its all types of cars private and dealers as well
- Can a novice change spark plugs or too risky? I have a newer Honda Civic with 70,000 miles so probably need to replace them soon. Dealer wants $150 which seems kinda high. So can a novice who has only changed oil try it (after watching it on Youtube) or is it too risky since engine could seize and cost thousands?
- What's causing my honda accord 1998 spark plugs to burn out so quickly? The plus becomes black at the first start. There's oil in btn the engine cover n the engine. But the burned out plugs oily.
- Should I get a transmission flush on my 2001 Honda Accord DX with 165,000 miles on it? Well it's more like should I buy my friend's 2001 Honda Accord DX with 165,000 miles on it? He told me that there's nothing wrong with the transmission, but since the car is old that I might need to flush out the transmission.
