How much to redo the interior of my car?
I have a silver 1999 honda accord. The interior is veige. I've been wanting to paint the outside black. But it won't match the interior. I have read that you could have the dash board and doors and stuff painted instead of replacing the parts. Is that true? How much would it cost to have the whole interior recolored? I know the seats would have to be replaced.
Having a beige interior on a black vehicle is not a bad contrast. Many vehicles had a different color interior. However, Grey is a more common contrast with Black exterior.
I would not recommend painting or replacing, but simply paint the exterior. The interior is usually dyed, not painted, especially not the plastic portions of the dash. If you paint it, you will be greatly disappointed within a few months, as the color will not usually last.
You might as well get a newer car as your resale value won't improve if you do anything asthetically.
- My 2007 Honda Element has a mint body and interior and under 64,000 miles but due to its age it needs about 4k in work, here is the list New tires, front struts with dust boots and bump stops, rear shocks, alignment, water pump, universal belt, front lower ball joints, outer tie rod ends, timing side engine mount, rear brakes, flush and bleed the system and emergency brake adjustment. Should I do the work and keep it due to low miles and good eyeball condition?
- Interior of the car smells like weed? No one has ever smoked weed in my car before and I haven't either but I'm really curious on why the interior smells like weed usually. Also I have owned this car for years, it's a 2001 Honda Prelude. Why does the interior of my car smell like weed?
