How to install a REPLACEMENT clutch kit on a 2002 HONDA ACCORD EX COUPE?
How to install a REPLACEMENT clutch kit on a 2002 HONDA ACCORD EX COUPE?
THE INSTRUCTIONS SHOULD COME WITH THE KIT. THE TRANS HAS TO BE PULLED FOR ONE So THE WHEELS COME OFF, THE BRAKES AND ROTATING ASSEMBLIES ARE PULLED. THE HALF SHAFTS ARE ALSO. THE TRANS SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST ONE MOUNT TO THE FRAME. TO BEGIN WITH PULL THE BATTERY CABLES OFF TO ELIMINATE THE CHANCE OF ANY ISSUES. ONCE THE PILOT BEARING IS IN PLACE, THE FLY WHEEL CAN BE INSTALLED. Really THE BOOK SHOULD COVER IT ALL.
I highly suggest you get a Honda service manual to get the proper instructions as well as all the required torque specifications when reassembling all the components you need to remove to get to the clutch.
This is an advanced job and not one you want to do more than once because you screwed up something the first time.
I've skip to answer your question twice because it's the safety that concern me. But thinking that you're also in need for some advises/ helpful ideas so my advise: If this is the first time you do this job: Get with someone who knows how and he'll save you the headaches, the time and money by not making any mistake because if you do: Most likely the transmission will have to come out again. It's harder to do it on your driveway so you'll need additional help. Keep in mind: Safety first so be careful when working on this type of work.
Enough said: The first thing is go to this link and download for free: a service/repair manual for the car. Simply do a free registration and go to "Download" tap and choose the manual. Simple:

The manual will contain all information, instructions as well as diagram, pictures and wiring diagrams will help very much when it come to repairing your Accord.
The following link as I think will help you a lot more. This guy has a series of 9 videos showing step by step how to replacing a transmission clutch kit and more. It's not for a 2002 Accord but the principals surely can be applied and very helpful to me:

- Body Kit and Paint Job Install? I have a 2001 Honda Civic EX Coupe, I have just purchased a bodykit, Halo Lights, and a passenger fender after a recent accident I got into. I was curious as to how much it would cost to have the bodykit and fender installed on my car at a mechanic as well as maybe an entire car paint job. The paint job isn't necessary at the moment but it'd be nice to know an estimate for it all by someone with experience.
