I accidentally put diseal in my car?
So my dumbass accidentally put.1778 gallons of diseal gas in my 2013 honda accord. I drove it home and then the next day I filled my tank with regular premium gas. Will my car get messed up and if so how much will it cost to fix it?
If it hasn't by now it won't
That small amount won't cause any problems.
With such a small quantity introduced, you should be fine. Your car may run a little rough for a bit (small chance), but the high grade gas, and maybe some fuel additive, should straighten you out.
Not with so little.
If the check engine light comes on, worry, otherwise, drive it and be more careful what you gas up with.
You should be fine.
- Accidentally Took out the wrong engine cap in my Motorcycle while trying to drain the Engine Oil? My Motorcycle is a Honda XRM. I was trying to change engine oil but opened a different screw/cap just beside the engine oil drain.A 5 inch long spring and a rod with holes came out, i put it back the way i think it should be, then opened the Drain cap, drained the engine oil and filled it with new oil. But when i start the motorcycle it sounded like there's something loose moving inside the engine. What is the rod and spring that came out? Is it critical?
- Accidentally put 89 octane instead of 87? I filled up my grandmas 2010 Honda Fit yesterday and I accidentally hit 89 octane instead of the regular 87 she puts in. Will this harm the engine? She does 100% city driving and has roughly 25,000kms on it if that helps. I should've said otherwise. It wasn't really accidental. The machine said "the grade selected is unavailable" so I pushed 89. Just clarifying.
- Accidentally drove in 2nd gear on highway with automatic. Did I cause any damage to my car? I didn't get much sleep so this morning I was little out of it. On my 15 minute commute to work I accidentally put my automatic car in 2nd gear instead of drive. I drove on the highway for 5 minutes going 60. I didn't notice until I got to work and realized that's why my car felt a little different while driving. It's a 2002 Honda crv. Could I have caused any long term damage?
