It could be a timing issue. Crank position sensor, maybe?
Possibly a broken cam timing belt.
Another thing to check is the compression. If it's getting a lot of blowby past the rings or valves and can't build pressure on the compression stroke, it won't fire. If it's the valves, you can have the head rebuilt. If its the rings, the entire engine will need a rebuild.

- What else could could be wrong? My stereo in my 2002 Honda civic la sedan wasn't working right so I had a friend check it out. Be got it so my stereo would work but now the a.c stopped working. When you try to use it the fans turn on for a second then automatically switch off. The mechanic shop said I need to change the control panel but I don't want to get a replacement then this isn't the issue. Is this all I can do to really know. What else could it be?
- 97 Honda Civic, new clutch and pressure plate but won't come out of gear and clutch pedal won't release? The clutch feels backwards now, won't switch gears unless the car is off and the pedal is all the way up. When you start it in gear it will not come out of said gear unless you turn the car off. The clutch pedal will get stuck down and the car will roll in whatever gear you put it in, when putting the clutch pedal down is supposed to release the clutch… It does not
- 93 Honda civic won't crank and fuel pump won't prime? My 93 honda civic dx will not crank and I can't hear the fuel pump prime either. The battery is brand new. All lights and dash lights work. The main relay has been replaced and I've checked all the fuses. What else could be the problem?
- Honda accord not getting gas and won't start? The car is hard to start. You can put started in the car and the vehicle will start but cuts of as soon as the ether burns off
