Infinity g37x or v6 honda accord win in race?
Friends got a Honda and swears he can beat an infinity g37x but I just don't see it
Assuming its stock for stock, any generation G37 will beat a Honda Accord in a drag race. Period.
Let him learn the hard way, whether its getting busted by the cops for illegally racing on public roads or getting his ego bruised by losing to a G37 in an Accord that wasn't made for racing to begin with.
The honda has the following specs.
3.5L V6 278 hp, 252 lb*ft of torque and a curb weight of 3559 lbs.
the Infiniti has the following.
3.7L V6 328 hp, 269 lb*ft of torque and a curb weight of 3822 lbs.
if you compare the power to weight ratios the honda has 156.22 hp per ton.
the Infiniti has 171.63 hp per ton.
this means that the Infinitis engine has to move less weight with each horsepower than the honda.
now here is where things get even better. The infinity has AWD which means it can do a much better launch. The Hondas front wheel drive will mean it can't get a good launch due to traction. When traction no longer becomes an issue at higher speeds and only power and weight matter, he still doesn't have it.
on top of that, the honda may not have a competitive gearbox. The 7 speed auto gearbox in the infiniti is going to be faster than a person driving a manual or the automatic in the honda. It also has 7 more ratio than the honda allowing it to stay at high RPMs for more time keeping it accelerating harder than the honda. There's no way that your buddy's honda can beat a G37x unless the driver of the G37x messes up and for some reason doesn't floor it or something.
Hi let me guess also these are not new cars either both over 10 years old not a hope in hell they would most likely blow a gaskets if you try it.
You're kind of missing the point here. The main point of buying a sports car is to have fun. An G series is designed to be somewhat sensible with a mix of fun added. An Accord with a V6 is an economy car with more power for passing.

- Why is Honda out of the F1 race? In the past, we have seen Honda in the F1 circuits. I think Toyota is the only Japanese car maker involved with F1 now.
- What are some things I need to know about The Honda Indy Toronto race? On July 20th I'm going to the Honda Indy Race in Toronto with my boyfriend. This is my first time going to any type of race and I don't really know a lot about Car races but I don't want to go without knowing what's going on and I don't wanna feel stupid when he starts talking about these things.
- How come skyline can't be made in usa under infinity? I mean there's an Honda nsx under acura nsx in the us. There's Honda Euro that is not avaible in the us but they have an acura tsx replacement for it. Is it only a thing under honda and acura that can make it? I mean why couldn't infinity have made a us version of the r34 r33 r32 skyline GTR in the us? I know the GTR doesn't pass the US law that is why I'm asking why can't infinity make it like Honda and acura does with the nsx/ the honda euro/acura tsx
- Why do kids in modified Honda Civics try to race EVERYBODY? I was coming back from the Aston dealership with my new Aston Martin Rapide S and some kid in a lawnmower, I mean Honda Civic tried racing me. I gave in and raced him, kicked the kids ***, but this has happened before, with cars I've had in the past. Is there any reason for this or are they just trying to be little douche bags?
