Is it best to buy a car in the beginning of a generation or the end?

I was looking into buy a new 2017 Honda Accord Sport Touring. But I have heard that this is the last Accord of the current generation, and the new model and generation should be rolling out later this year, should I wait for the new generation or still with the current?

It's not a straight forward decision.

On one hand, you wait and get the new model, with all the latest features. That sounds cool.

Or

You buy the last of the old model. It's had all the manufacturing defects and recalls for that model fixed, and chances are Honda will have a promotion on to move the last of the old model before the new ones are released. So you might get a couple of thousand $$ off the price.

Personally I'd probably go for a good deal on the last of the current model. It's a good car.

Go with the old, all the faults should be sorted, should be cheaper too

With a Honda, there's little risk with a new generation, and any glitches will be taken care of under warranty. Go for new. It WILL cost more than the old one though.

Get the end but only if you get a very good discount. Otherwise wait for the new car.

Hi so sounds like a good choice why simple really it is a well proven make and model with some modifications to the original design so it is likely to be reliable.
