Is this a good deal? 1993 Honda Accord for $900 has 300k miles & needs new power steering belts?
Any advice would be great, thanks!
Yeesh. I can't see buying anything with 300K miles on it, but if I had to, it would be an Accord.
If the timing belt has not been replaced in the last 50K miles it is way too much. Since it needs a power steering belt I think the answer is no - it would be replaced when the timing belt was changed. The timing belt has to be replaced every 7 years or 90K miles because if it breaks the engine is not worth repair. Timing belt replacement cost is about $500.
- What problems should you expect to have buying a car with 300k miles? Looking to buy a 7 year old Honda with 300k miles cause it's really cheap. What are some problems I should expect to have?
- My 2007 Honda Element has a mint body and interior and under 64,000 miles but due to its age it needs about 4k in work, here is the list New tires, front struts with dust boots and bump stops, rear shocks, alignment, water pump, universal belt, front lower ball joints, outer tie rod ends, timing side engine mount, rear brakes, flush and bleed the system and emergency brake adjustment. Should I do the work and keep it due to low miles and good eyeball condition?
- Is $600 a good deal for 1993 Honda xr100? I'm 17 and looking for a good bike to start with. Have road a few time before, but nothing serious. So good deal or not?
- Can a 2013 Honda Fit last 20 years or 300k miles I want to save really lots of money so I'm not buying a new car for the next 15 years. My 2013 Honda Fit would be my workhorse till 2033.
