Kicker CVX's. 2 10 or 2 12. Going in the trunk of a Honda Accord?

I'm also thinking about making my own fibreglass enclosures to avoid taking up all my trunk space.

For the 10's
(WATTS PEAK/RMS)
1200/600 total for 2= 2400/1200

12's
(WATTS PEAK/RMS)
1500/750 total for 2= 3000/1500

Thinking about running them with hifonics amps.

For the 10's
Hifonics Brutus Brz2400.1d 2,400 Watt RMS or Hifonics BRX2416.1D Brutus 2400W Mono

For the 12's
Hifonics BRX3016.1D Brutus 3000W Mono or Hifonics ZRX3216.1D Zeus ZRX Series Mono Block D Class 3200 Watt

Any suggestions?

My suggestion is, less and simpler. It's only a Honda Accord. You need to see a good system at a real high-end stereo shop. Try to get stuff that works with what you have.

One 12" sub in the proper enclosure will be loud enough to satisfy anybody that's not a total bass head.

My friend has 2 15" Sundown Audio X-15 inside of his GMC Yukon and it's very loud.

Peak power is meaningless and should be ignored. All that matters is the RMS power.

Okay son, cars with loud bass are annoying to most people. Nobody wants to hear your boom.

When I was at Mcdonald's there was a guy behind me and the bass in his car was so loud. The manager came out and told him to turn it down because the guy taking orders couldn't hear what people wanted.

If you really want to add some low end to your system, my suggestion is to go with 1 12.

My advice for you, don't be that guy. Turn it down at the drive thru.

If you're thinking 2k-3kw the first thing you need to account for is the current demand on your electrical system. At a minimum you need a 200A alternator, and it would be a good idea to have a 2nd battery in the mix. Not sure why you want that much power. The 1516 would be more than enough for the 10's and the 2016 would give you some headroom for the 12's.

You might get away with stock electrical using the 1516, but the 2k would probably have you replacing a stock alt every year or so.

Space may be a factor as well. CVX's work well in mid-size ported boxes. For the 12's you need around 2cf gross per sub - the recommended enclosure size is about 1.5cf (+port and sub displacement). The 10's will work in 1.25-1.5 each.

The 10's will play pretty loud and low. The 12's will be louder and lower.

If loud and low is what you're after the 12's will certainly do it better. If budget/space are an issue, the 10's would be a good compromise.
