Leasing a new car - Is this a good deal?
I'm leasing a new Honda Accord coupe 2015, I went in to talk to the guy about all the details. I'm trading in my old car. He appraised it at 9,500 bc it's been in 2 accidents. Both accidents were the cause of the other drivers
However the car is fixed and all damages were paid by the insurance. I also recondition vehicles for a living so it looks clean.
The car has 19,455 miles on it. 2012 version. I don't drive a lot so that's why I'm looking to lease.
Now I still owe $14.336 on the vehicle, but I made a deal with Honda on paying off my loan. Obviously there was negative equity but they said they would pay it fully if I leased. Now on my used car, my monthly payments were $420. On my new lease if I decide to do it, it would come out $425. No down payment, no acquisition fees, no security deposit, nothing, just my first lease payment of $425.
I want to know if this is a good deal or if something seems fishy. Also, if it is a reasonable deal, what questions should I ask the finance manager? Someone told me the most important question to ask is about the money factor (B Factor)? Is this true?
Any tips or advice would be great
There are several facts that we do not have here but it sounds like they are offering you $14336 for a car that they claim is only worth $9500. That sounds pretty good, but how much did you pay for the car so far, and how much is it worth to other people including yourself? How long is the lease for and what is the buyout at the end of it?
I do not like leases, but if you are going to do this, and the lease is only for 3 years, then go for it if you insist on a lease
- Do leasing companies check your mileage every year or just st the end of the lease term? I was thinking about leasing a new Honda, but they only want to give me 12,000 miles per year. Is that the kind of thing they check every year or can I get away with driving more one year, as long as I keep my mileage low the next year?
- What are the pros and cons of leasing a vehicle? Have you ever leased or know anyone that has? Say I want to lease a 2019 Honda Civic for 5 years, would it be good?
- Purchasing VS Leasing a car? For First car? I'm very new to this car business, any suggestions is truly appreciated. It will be initially my first car. Honda dealer is offering a brand new Honda Civic 2014 leasing for 36 months with $0 downpayment and $149 per month. Total deal $16,950. Is this a good deal? I have to pay the remaining balance of i wish to keep the car after 3 years. They said they will cover maintanence uptill 2 years. Anyone using Honda Civic 2014 right now? Pros/cons?
- Is this car a good financing deal for someone with bad credit? I have bad credit and can't get financing. But my friend is willing to sell me a 2013 Honda Civic LX for $200 a month for 60 months. It has automatic and 90k miles. Excellent condition. Is this a good deal?
