Transmission Shift Lock on 98 Honda Accord?
The transmission shift handle broke and now it shifts freely without pushing the button on the handle. Tried putting it back together but ai think I need kit. Any help?
You'll need to take the shifter unit off the vehicle and see which part is broke/worn out and in need for replacement. I've included a parts break down diagram:

- In a Honda Accord does the sports mode gear still shift up automatically? I own a Honda Accord 2013. I've done some research and have figured out that the sports mode increases your acceleration. I've been messing with it, and the RPM's get up to 6000, and almost into the red. I don't want to blow out my engine or anything. I was just wondering does it still shift automatically, and is it safe to max out in sports mode for a decent amount of time.
- How to reset the door lock setting on a 2014 Honda Accord? My car used to only open the driver door when I click on the remote once and it opens the rest when I press it twice but now it just opens all of them with one click.
- 98 Honda Accord won't shift out of drive? When I stopped my Honda in a parking lot and tried to shift into park my shifter handle ran forward but the light on the dash cluster stayed on drive, now I can't move my handle out of the park position and I can't start the engine because you obviously can't start an automatic in drive. Any ideas would be helpful because I'm out of them.
- 98 Honda accord automatic started right up but won't shift out of park? Car ran great this weekend. Serpentine belts were changed, spark plugs checked. Drove to work. Went to leave 4 hours later and started right up but she can't get it to shift out of park. She is two hours away can anyone suggests something to help.
