When Turning Steering Wheel Makes A Rubbing Sqeel Sound?

My 1991 Honda Accord Recently Started making a Sqeeling sound Like When you tighten metal tight and it rubs making a High Pitched Err sound. The tires are Not Rubbing on anything it sounds and feels like its coming from the steering collume or mabey somthing with power steering cause the serpentine belt sqeels on startup but when driving the steering wheel makes noise what could this be

It is your belt squealing around your power steering pump causing the noise. Likely either your belt is loose or worn. Or maybe you power steering pump is taking more torque than it should. One possible cause is a belt tension pulley is wearing out and the spring is not keeping it tight. Most likely a cheap fix unless there's a problem with the power steering.

Hi so the belt on the power steering needs to be replaced as it is hard and worn.

  • Which air filter makes more sound? I've honda stunner. And installed conical air filter, it is 2-3 inches long than K&N RC-1060. Do small filters make more sound or my one makes more sound? And one more thing… I've removed air filter box. What to do with pipes which were attached to it for some air intake or i don't know what those pipes are for.

  • Steering wheel jerks when turning? I have a '95 Honda Civic LX that runs great except for when I turm the steering wheel. It jerks really hard and the tires snatch but then it goes back to normal. What could be wrong with it?
