Which Honda Accord should I purchase?
I'm 17 years old, turning 18 in about 3 months. As soon as Highschool finishes I plan on immediately attending college. The nearest college (or the one I plan on enrolling in) is around 40-45 miles from my house.
I'm currently looking at the 2014 Accord EX-L w/ a V6 engine vs the 2015 Accord Hybrid EX-L. Both look amazing and are around $27,000 (when I last spoke to the dealership), so I would need to choose soon. I can't decide which is the better choice. I would be driving a lot, and wouldn't be purchasing another car for a LONG time. I feel like the hybrid is best in this situation, but I love the V6 on the 2014 model because I drive for more than just reaching my destination.
Which would you choose for this situation, and why?
I wish I'd been able to choose a brand new car at 18 - firstly be thankful for that!
When choosing between hybrid and a conventional petrol (gas) engine, you do need to look at more than just the fuel economy the hybrid could bring. You also need to consider the type of driving you will do, and also if you intend keeping the car a long time, look at the long-term costs of a hybrid, such as battery life.
No doubt the V6 would be more fun to drive, but long term you also might find it is the more sensible buy.
I would take hybrid u save more gas
- Should I have a mechanic inspect the car I'm about to purchase (2009 honda civi hybrid - 52K miles)? It is at wheels and deals. I do not know if they check out the cars or allow inspections. I know nothing about cars. Should I have a shop inspect it? Or is it okay not to do since I'm buying from wheels and deals and the car has very low miles?
- Nissan vs Hyundai vs Toyota vs Honda vs Scion. Which one is more reliable and a better purchase? Nissan vs. Hyundai vs. Toyota vs. Honda vs. Scion… Which one is more reliable and a better purchase?
- Should I purchase a Honda Fit or a Kia Soul? I'm on the fence between the both based on company standards. Honda has always made a reliable car, but the Kia has better warranty and better features. Help me! I'm a college student looking for a fun, yet reliable car!
