Would it be better to refinance my car or buy a new one?
About a year ago, I bought a car from one of those "no credit, no problem" dealerships and got an interest rate of about 20% (no comments on my poor financial decision lol). Anyway, in about a month, I will be getting between 6 and 10 thousand dollars and I was wondering if it would be a better idea to refinance for a lower interest rate or trade in my car and use the money as a down payment for another car. Keep in mind, the only credit I have is from the payments on my current car, which is a 2004 Honda Accord Coupe EX.
Refinance. If the car suits you well then no need to loose money on trading in.
oh wait, you're getting 6-10k and you got 2004 Honda Accord Coupe EX? Pay it off!
Just pay off your car
- If one or two ISP's ban a site and raise prices, can a new one rise up and compete? Why? Why not? What about Honda/Toyota? Or ' MCI & Sprint muscling AT&T aside? Anyone remember Nucor Steel? Each of those took advantage of very different situations, each with seemingly impossible odds. Thing is, they were all LEGALLY allowed to compete. How about here?
- If your car was starting to have a lot of mechanical issues (see details), would you go for repairs or buy a new or good used car? My 2002 Honda Civic is suddenly having a lot of problems - SRS dash light always on, AC doesn't work, squeaking and thumping underneath on front passenger's side and brake pedal, and passenger side mirror is loose.
- Should I fix my current car or buy a new one? I have a 1997 honda accord. I'm 17 years old, and the car has 191,000 miles on it. It has no problems aside from the motor on one of the windows needing to be replaced as the window won't roll back up, and the AC needs to be fixed. The repairs are estimated around 1000. I do have a family friend who may be willing to do it for less, but I'm unsure of what the best option is. Opinions?
- Is it better to keep an old car or buy a newer one? I have a honda accord that's 15 year old. Its very reliable for most part but minor repairs come up from time to time. I take it to get checked out every 6 months or so and if there's something that needs attantion, I get it fixed right away. I want to keep the car as long as I can but I'm worried about the car age. Are things going to start falling apart since the car is so old?
