Automatic on a hill-rollback?
Hiya i'm about to purchase a Honda I-drive and i'm told that on a hill it will rollback on the test drive there was a slight hill but it didn't roll back, so what will happen on a steeper hill.
is it best procedure in stop start travel on a hill when its not appropriate to use the hand brake.
It will roll back.
The handbrake needs to be used when the car is stopped on an uphill to be able to make a safe start
If you are driving on a hill and need to stop, keep your foot on the brake. When you take off again step on the gas and take your foot off the brake at the same time. Don't use the hand brake unless you are parking.
What do your saying hold your left foot on the brake and apply gas with right then release the brake with your left foot
I have something similar in my car (Insignia Elite), Its called Hill Start Assist. If holding the car stationary on a hill using the foot brake, the car will keep the brakes applied for a few seconds or until there's enough torque once the foot brake is released to stop the car from rolling backwards.
- Are there any automatic street bikes? I want to get into riding again. But I don't really want to have to shift to start off. I know of the the Honda VRF1200F but was wondering if there were any others. Or any bikes that have the dual clutch transmission, that would be nice to have so I could learn at my own pace but also have the automatic option. I want an attractive street bike, something along the lines of the Kawasaki Ninjas, and those bikes.
- Is it hard to do an oil change on a 1992 honda prelude automatic transmission? So i have an automatic 92 honda prelude. Its a 2.2l engine non vtech, and I've been wondering if i should do an oil change on the tranny. Main questions i have are, is it hard? Would i need to change the filter? Or simply just drain out the oil and add new oil in? Any help will be well appreciated. I want to do this on my own i don't want to spend over 100 dollars at an auto shop lol.
- Honda Amaze automatic or Hyundai Xcent automatic? Which would be better purely in terms of performance, acceleration, smooth and fast gearshifts and handling, i mean the better drivers car. I know hondas transmission and engines are great, but is the hyundai as good too? Even though the xcent has only 4 gears, i.e. 1 less than the amaze, it has tiptronic, would this by any chance improve the driving experience? I sadly don't have the opportunity to test drive these cars.
