Car wheel is locked by the security system?
I have a 2012 Honda Civil. Today somehow the car got blocked by the security, I can't turn on the engine at all. The keys work normally, I can lock the door but just can't turn on the engine. Btw, the driver window can't roll up down either (the other 3 work fine)
Hi so it needs to go to a honda dealer for a diagnostics check as it is covered by the warranty it will cost you nothing only time waiting for it to be fixed.
Call your dealer. What you are experiencing is the engine immobilizer in your car. It most likely is an electrical problem, and your dealer is the only one able to fix it.
If the motor will not crank over it's an electrical problem and likely a bad battery. If the motor cranks over but does not start it could be the crankshaft sensor or a bad fuel pump. The immobilizer system usually doesn't just keep the car from starting if the same keys you normally use are being used. Just in case the drivers door harness has developed an open circuit, try opening the trunk with the key when you have the alarm set. That usually deactivates the alarm. Make sure your cell phone is not near the ignition switch. It may interfere with the immobilizer getting the signal from the key.Don't try and guess at what's wrong… I'm sure you have no clue and will just waste money trying to diagnose this problem yourself.
- Honda CBF 125 security, safety and price query? I was interested in buying a Honda CBF 125 as my first learner bike. I have looked around and found a few for sale (second hand) for about 1.5k in apparent "good condition" and an average 6k miles. Would it be better to get a cheaper bike with more miles or pay £400-500 and purchase one with less (about 1-2k miles)? Additionally, what is an affordable (within £100 budget) disk lock that can give adequate protection to the bike which also fits?
- Does being a security guard have okay pay? I'm planning on getting a cheap motorcycle when i graduate, like a honda cbr 250 off craigslist and I'm wondering if the pay of a security guard would be able to afford its insurance and 250$ of rent per month. (My roommate and i are gonna split it) How much money do you guys think i might have left over? I know this is a extremely broad question but just make assumptions to fill in the blanks because I'm not even there yet.
- HONDA PCX IGNITION KEY SHUTTER LOCKED OUT? I accidentally closed the shutter of my honda pcx 150. I don't have anymore the original key I lost last month. I tried with the copy key may times but of course the magnets were not placed at all in the blank key. i have called also HONDA and they told me to call AAA or a locksmith. The locksmiths i have called they say no we can't do that. What are my options?
- Will my keys get locked in my car? Tonight when I leave work, I wanna start my car ahead of time for the first time. I've never done it before since I'm afraid my doors will lock and my keys will be inside. I have a 2007 Honda Civic coupe. If I start my car to let it warm up, I then shut the door, and go inside for about ten mins, will my door stay unlocked? Or will my keys get locked inside?
