1997 Honda Civic Oil Leak?

I have a 1997 Honda Civic Coupe automatic has about 190k miles just got done doing the oil change last month. I got home after driving the car for a while and I could smell oil Bruning so I opened the hood and could see white smoke coming out from the car. I couldnt exactly pin point the exact location from where the smoke was coming from but it seemed mainly somewhere right infornt the engine where the exhaust manifold/catalytic converter is. Couple weeks prior to that when the engine light first came on I had the codes checked out and catalytic converter was the only thing coming up. I don't know much about cars so don't be quick to judge me but my question is would it be the catalytic converter causing a oil leak? If not what could it be? And had anyone had similar situation or know what it is?

I've had the same problem with my 96 Honda Accord. It's most likely the oil sending unit (it measures oil pressure and turns the low-oil-pressure light on in your dash if your oil pressure is low). I've had to replace mine several times over the years. It's a very common problem. See video. The catalytic converter is part of the exhaust system, and unless oil is leaking on top of it, is completely separate from where the oil is. The catalytic converter runs very hot, hot enough to ignite oil. Get this taken care of, you don't want a car fire!
