2000 Honda Civic LX - No Start issue?

Got a 2000 Honda Civic LX 1.6L with a no start issue. She just cranks all day but won't fire up. Replaced distro cap, rotor, ignition coil, spark plugs, and wires. Cleaned all grounds, and tried jump starting. Only things I can think of next are the igniter, fuel filter, or (what my mechanic told me to change) the Engine coolant temperature sensor. I bought the sensor today and will change it out in a minute, doubt it will fix the issue though. Any ideas?

Crankshaft sensor

Check for spark and check fuel

The usual process is to eliminate what the problem is caused by… Fuel, air, spark, timing, etc.

You can try to spray some carb cleaner into the intake/throttle body throat after removing the intake ductwork or spray into a large vacuum port of the engine such as for the brake booster vacuum line or PCV hose connection at the TB or intake and try starting… If the engine starts and runs briefly, then you know you have a fuel-related issue… Weak pump, clogged filter, bad pressure regulator, faulty pump relay or pump circuit wiring issues, etc… Further test the fuel system for proper pressure and diagnose from there… Is the pump turning on briefly when Ignition is turned on? Etc.

If the engine still won't start, then likely a spark or timing issue or ECM problem/sensor issue. Test for good spark with a spark plug tester to see if you're getting good spark while cranking… If no spark, then look for ignition issues.ECM, etc… Test injectors with Noid light… If no injector pulse while cranking, it could be a bad cam or crank sensor or other computer issues, etc…

If all of these are working properly, you may have timing issues… A bad timing belt, jumped a couple teeth off, etc…
