2001 honda civic 1.7 quarts of oil? - 1
You want to put 1.7 quarts of oil in your Civic?
Sure, you have my permission.
I'll take the oil.
With an oil and filter change a 2001 Honda Civic holds 3.7 quarts of oil not 1.7 quarts.
- Tranny Flush, 3 or 9 quarts? I called Honda today and told them my tranny fluid was brown. They recommended that I do a 3 quart drain and fill to see how my car reacts to the new fluid. My mechanic who works for Honda recommends that I do a 9 quart drain and fill because Honda Transmissions won't take it as bad as other cars will. I don't know what I should do because I feel like everyone just wants to make a quick buck off of me.
- Is going from synthetic oil in my '03 HOnda Hybrid to regular oil bad? Over 100K miles, always used synthetic oil. Took the car to my mechanic to have brakes checked, and he thought the oil looked dirty so he drained it and put in regular oil. Now I'm concerned about my engine. Advice please? I do not know what kind of regular oil he put in.
- What's the best oil to get for my Honda Civic lx 2001? I need an oil change and happen to know nothing about cars but I'm trying to start learning and gunna try an oil change by myself with help, but I need to know what oil to buy I live in a desert, I don't care about anything else than keeping the engine working good so what oil should I buy?
- Will a oil pressure sensor cause a 1999 honda civic not to crank if oil is low? While I was driving I noticed it wouldn't go any faster while I was going about 60mph but I felt the transmission spinning and the revs were high I then pulled over and put the car in Park and noticed the engine wasn't on Or Is it seized?
