Actually you do not open bleed screw why engine is on. Open screw with engine off and cold pour coolant into radiator till coolant start coming out of screw in a steady stream no bubbles then close and tighten run engine till fans turn on. If you have a spill free funnel thats even better
Yea its ******. Scrap it buy a new one
Thermostat. About $ 100.00 to replace.
Possible causes -
Airlock in coolant system due to wrong filling procedure
Head gasket blowing
Thermostat stuck closed
Electric cooling fan/switch inoperative
Coolant leak
Water pump failure

- Why is my 1998 Honda civic lx still overheating? I've replaced the thermostat, water pump, timing belt, flushed the radiator and done a coolant test to check for gasses and all is good. The fan is wire up so it automatically comes on when ignition is turned on and is blowing the correct way. Do I need to try a new radiator cap or radiator? Engine light is on but it's for a 02 sensor. Any help is appreciated.
- I'm driving a 96 honda civic and my car has been shaking and overheating? I have check for leaks and everything is fine but i do have a rusted spark plug, i'm wondering if that may be the cause of shaking and excessive overheating to the point i'm driving with the heater on all the time. Can anyone let me know if the spark plug is the problem and if i replace this one rusted plug will the car drive back normally?
