2005 honda civic trouble cranking?

I have a 2005 honda civic that has been costing me so much money and never getting fixed

It takes a very long time to crank up I have to try atleast 3 times before it starts then it will randomly lose power for example when I go from reverse to drive or when I'm accelerating normally.

Things I've done so far.

-Fuel pump
-02 sensor
-Spark plugs
-Crankshaft sensor
-Cam sensor
-New Battery

I would have the catalytic converters checked as I've just come through this and was in it about some $1,700.00 in parts before finding this out. Try some cataclean first though.

  • Is trouble shooting a helmet lock the same as trouble shooting a key stuck in a door? I have a Honda VFR and the key is stuck in the helmet lock. Its all the way in and turned slightly but won't budge. I just need to know if i should try lube before i call a locksmith.
  • Every time I stop to get gas in my 2003 Honda element, it has trouble starting? My car recently had a completely new engine put in and now when I get gas it takes a few tries to get it started. So I put a new battery in and now I have to put my foot on the gas pedal while starting it for it to start. But it's only when I stop to get gas this happens. Every time other than that it starts just fine, no problem at all. Does anyone have any ideas what is going on?
  • Is the Honda Civic 2005 type R the same as the 2005 civic si? I know they are both ep3 body style. But did America sell the type r? Or is every 2005 civic ep3 here a si? And what's the difference between the ep2 and 3. And how hard is it to get a si with under 75,000 nowadays Thank you.
  • Car keeps cranking but won't start? 2004 Honda civic with 248k miles. I tried starting it today but it just keeps cranking and won't turn over. It doesn't stop cranking till I turn the keep back to the initial spot. If I hold it at the starting position it'll just crank and crank and crank. I just got stuff done like spark plugs and all that just last year, new starter last year and a new battery 2 years ago. Any ideas?
