2009 honda civic si. I can't shift into gears and i'm stuck in reverse?
So I have a dilemma in my hands I've been having problems lately with my Honda. First, I felt like my clutch was going out so I replaced it with an exedy stage 1 clutch and then 2 weeks later my clutch pedal was dumped and I couldn't put my car into any gears without grinding or getting completely locked out so I replaced the clutch master cylinder with an omni power clutch master cylinder hoping that would fix the problem and 2 days later I'm now stuck in reverse and even when off I can't take the reverse gear out.
If you rock the car will it come out? I'm thinking your oil was low and might have burned a little steel
There's a slave cylinder was that also replaced? The other thing did you replace the transmission fluid? If not or if it was low then you might have done internal damage. The other thing to check is the shift cables to see if they are operating correctly. For more help find local shop at ATRA.COM
- My 1999 manual honda prelude does not shift into 5th gear or reverse smoothly? My gears are smooth from 1-4 but then takes a lot of effort to go to 5th or reverse. Also when you get out of 5th or reverse it doesn't go straight into neutral like a normal manual car. They still work but it is very annoying that i have to push it into the gears and pull them out. What could the issue be? Transmission? Shift box? I plan on changing to a short throw shifter in the future.
- 2009 Honda Fit or 2009 Honda Civic? My grandma is getting a new car. She has had a black 1995 jetta for years now. She wants to get a honda. What would you think would be good for an old lady? Should it not be a honda?
- My car turns over properly but the engine races and won't shift gears? I have a 2003 Honda CR-V with about 182,000 miles on it. Has been driving perfect until last night when I turned it on and the engine was racing like I was accelerating and I was unable to shift gears. What could be causing this and what kind of repair bill could I be looking at?
- Clunk every time I shift into reverse? I have a 2003 Acura RSX w/ 135000 miles. Every time I shift into reverse I hear a loud clunk I sometimes hear it but more faintly when it shifts to 2nd gear. The transmission shifts smoothly and I don't hear and grinding or any other abnormal sounds besides that clunk. What could the issue be? BTW honda/acura vehicles don't have ujoints since iv'e been told before it might be that.
