97 civic ex. Why is my check engine light coming on only when I floor it?

I added a intake and full exhaust then the check engine light came on. The code said its the O2sensor. My friend had a ecu that I bought from his 96 civic. I bought a Phearable.net Custom OBD1 28 Pin Eprom Chip Basemap and a OBD2A to OBD1 ECU Jumper Conversion Harness For Honda Civic 1996 1997 1998. We hooked everything up and no check engine light. I coud drive it around all day and no code but as soon as i floor it, the check engine light comes on. When i turn the car off and back on, the light is off and only comes back on when i floor it again. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

No, but I don't screw around with my cars or floor them like you do. That way, they last a long time.
Why not join an owner's forum, where everyone owns the same car and may have seen the problems or did the same mods? You can get all kinds of info there, instead of asking people that can only make guesses. Just Google "Civic owner's forum".

Was the broken muffler the cause of the check engine light to turn on? Will it turn off now that i got the muffler welded back on?

I'm having a code that reads p0 2646 the problems that the car has is when you get to 5000 rpms the vtech doesn't seem to kick in the car kinda shakes so I just et my foot off the gas and slowly get to speed. So just want to know what part or parts to check and possibly what part I need to change. But note that this problem wasn't happening before a head gasket change?
