99 honda civic crank but no start

So like I said I have a 99 honda civic ex coupe. And i was driving home from work last month and my engine light came on then shortly after that my car started to struggle then slowly lost power and then died. Not battery power. But it wouldn't start after it died. It cranks really good but no fire. Also no spark at the spark plugs. I've changed my spark plugs spark plug wires and the distributer cap and still no fire. Or spark. But I got battery power. All lights come on radio. Also the fuel pump does work. For sure and filter. Please help I've been broke down for way to long. God bless.

Possibly the ECU, you will need a diagnostic test

Did you just roll 100,000 miles and then the light came on? Try to disconnect the battery wait a few minutes and reconnect it. Also open up your gas cap and then close it and turn it until it clicks. This is a few things that sometimes can "fix" the car… Let me know and good luck

Bad distributor

  • How come my atv won't electric start but will crank if I push start it? 2006 Honda trx. Doesn't have a pull rope only electric start. The starter motor turns over the engine but just won't start but I'll push it down the yard with it in gear and it will fire right up. I'm so confused by this.
  • No Crank, No Start Honda Civic 2005 Lx? My Civic has enough power for the headlights and dashboard to turn on, yet the engine will not start. Could it be a problem with fuse, alternator, or starter? Jump starting doesn't.
  • Honda replaced my serpentine belt but my car is now taking longer to crank? Honda recently replaced my serpentine belt (2012 Honda Civic, 185k miles). I noticed that on cold starts, the car takes longer to crank and then eventually starts. Sounds like it doesn't want to start but then does. I will take it to Honda but I'm just curious what this is likely caused by? Loose belt? Tight belt? Pulley issue? No noticeable squealing, just the crank time. Instead of the usual 1-3 seconds, now my car takes about 3-5.
  • 93 civic crank no start We have a 93 Honda Civic 1.6L that was running just fine. It just started stalling on Us the other day. It took about 5-10 minutes to start back up. It ran for another 5 minutes then stalled again. My boyfriend replaced everything he can think of. Fuel pump fuel filter spark plugs new distributor wires. It still stalls. It has spark and fuel so we don't know what the issue is. Does anyone have an ideas?
