Am I getting ripped off, or is it a reasonable price?
Recently I had to get an estimate for my 1998 Honda Civic to see how much a bumper replacement and paint job would cost. I was planning on keeping the damaged bumper, but when I tried to adjust it back into place I realized that it no longer fit. I'm guessing something happened to the front of the frame (it looked a bit off and bent from one side). Well, I took it to a local auto body for an estimate, and the price I got was $600 to repair any damages to the frame, if any I guess, paint the bumper and the two fenders (my fenders are a different color from the rest of the car). Does that seem like a reasonable price? Should I keep looking?
As I mentioned before, it's a 1998 Honda Civic, and I believe the shade of the color is Pearl Metallic Green.
That's actually a very good price.
It never hurts to get more estimates. Just make sure they're from reputable shops. But I doubt you'll get a number much less than that.
Sounds cheap, make sure you are getting brand name parts, and they are known for good paint work. Could easily be twice that much, actually.
Sounds like a good price to me. An 06 Lacrosse rear bumper cover and styrofoam and paint to match was $900 at a reputable shop for me. No bumper or frame damage.
I would say that is VERY VERY cheap for a possible frame bend (gig work required and frame alignment) then fit and respray. It is an absolute bargain. The QUALITY of the work leaves me questioning then for sucha cheap price. You would realistically be looking at 3X that amount for a QUALITY job!
- Is $715 reasonable for my repair? Due to my tires wearing out faster than usual on my 97 Honda Prelude my mechanic is going to charge me $715 for a wheel alignment, replace my inner tie rods and installing adjustable ball joints. For the price of an wheel alignment is $80 and the ball joints they are ordering are around $100 apiece the inner tie rod price I'm not sure but I assume there about $30 each one. So I'm basically getting charged $400 in labor? Is this right?
- I need to find a part for my Honda ex1000 generator. I can't seem to find a part for a reasonable price or even the right part I have a Honda Generator and I need to buy a carburetor. I can find a lot of different ones online but I only find One for the Model I have. It is 80 bucks. I see a lot that look the same and I would like to know how to find one that is cheaper. I have looked for hours and can't find one that is cheap like the others. The part number is 16100-ZC0-015. Does anyone know how I can find a variety to choose from or do I need to get the honda brand carb?
- What would be a reasonable amount to offer below the sticker price of a Honda Civic sedan? In other words, if the sticker price is $21,000, what is the LEAST the dealer would be likely to accept?
- What's a reasonable price for a used 2010 Honda Accord? It's been in a few minor accidents but it's been fully repaired nonetheless. It has 30,000 miles. It has cruise control, automatic transmission, automatic locks and windows. It's red with a beige colored interior and fabric seats. The seats have hardly been sat on which makes them look fairly new. There aren't any stains or rips on the fabric either.
