Bad headgasket, Why is my coolant not returning to the engine?
I know I have a bad head. Anyway the coolant overflows out the overflow tank and fails to return to the engine. Figured that CO2 was displacing the coolant and the vacuum created when cooling then was minimal. BUT, when i removed the coolant overflow lid and took the little hose in it and exposed it to air THEN removed the rad cap. My lower and upper hose collapsed/sucked in. What does this indicated?
Added (1). BTW it is confirmed with a block check chemical test. 2000 Honda civic Dx. Aluminum engine. Car overheats only intermittenly after long drives and coolant only needs to refilled because it is overflowing. Also my thermo is working as well as fans.
That indicates you shouldn't do troubleshooting, since you made no sense whatsoever.
Bad radiator cap
- Why is the coolant from my radiator disappearing? (1998 Honda Prelude with a Jackson Racing supercharger) I replaced my old radiator because it cracked one day and was leaking. Before it had no problems as far as it just disappearing. I replaced my oem radiator for a Mishimoto radiator and ever since then it started disappearing.
- What's the deal with honda not being able to use coolants with silicates if it makes the coolant better and safer for the engine. Reason? Is it for a reason or just honda wants our cars to last shortly? Any more answers i was checking out that video then checked and notice newer cars don't use the coolant anymore so what's the deal we have to go back to inferior coolant i've read it eats the seals in cars? Any more information?

- Who thinks Mitsubishi will flop as a automaker returning the Eclipse as an SUV than the iconic Sports coupe? Been a fan of the Mitsubishi eclipse since a little kid, and discontinued it in 2012. And i think they killed their company right then and their. Now after a 6 year hiatus they're bringing it back as an SUV. Which i think will flop because we have enough SUVS in the North American Automobile market like Toyota chv, Honda CRV etc. who else agrees?
