Added (1). Can new struts on Honda Civic 2003 get softer with time. They are very bumpy now.
When they leak out the oil in them they get soft and bounce.
Yes, of course. That the way shocks and struts WORK, genius. They simply gradually wear out - with the rare exception of sudden failure due to physical damage.
- Will Honda Prelude struts fit a Honda Accord? I have a 1999 Honda accord ex V6 sedan. has stock 15 inch wheels, but will have 17 inch 2006 Acura TL wheels on it soon this will raise my ride height, so instead of spending 1000$ on coilovers, I was wondering if the struts of a 1997 Prelude would fit my car. Any suggestions as to if this might work? Any feedback will be appreciated.
- Cost for front end struts in Boston metro area for 03 Honda Element? I'm in Boston metro area and need to replace both struts on Honda Element 2003. Any idea of a fair price installed (inclusive of front end alignment)?
- Lowering springs on stock struts? Ok I currently have a 2001 honda civic. It has about 162k miles and runs perfectly. The struts in the front are good but the rear struts can get really bouncy when going over high speed bumps or roads with poor condition. The car has had 3 previous owners and I'm not sure if the struts have ever been replaced. Would adding Eibach sportline lowering springs blow out my struts?
- Is alignment necessary after replacing the front struts? 2002 Honda civic lx 126,000 miles. Also I have shocks in the back tires. Is it best to replace the front struts & back shocks at the same time? Or is it ok to just do the front if the back is ok? Either way is alignment vital or Not necessary?
