Can't find cigarette lighter fuse in honda civic ima hybrid?
My 4 year old son inserted 5p coin inside cigarette lighter socket, which i didn't know it was there. When i inserted the charger it did not work, after checking the socket i discovered the 5 pence coin inside. Once removed i tried the charger again, it did not work i tried another charger still no output. I try to find the fuse in the box under the bonnet and under the dash i can't find the fuse for cigarette lighter anywhere in the car.
could you please help me out in finding the cigarette lighter fuse because i have to travel and need a charger. I have already lost the owner manual btw. I have attached the layout of under dash fuse box. I have checked stereo fuse which is ok and stereo working. Thank you
See the pictures with the hand/hand book that's the owners manual in that under the fuse section it will give you the break down of which fuse operates what look in the manual to find out which one goes to the lighter
Without the Year of the Civic so the proper wiring diagram can be looked at I can't tell you where to look. Keep it simple: Check all of the fuses that rates 20A or more.
Check the ones with manual listed. Usually the lighter fuse is on its own, but you can turn on the radio, wipers, blinkers, etc, if they work you know it is not combined with that fuse.
Sometimes the fuse is behind the lighter, can you pull the lighter out. Might have to gently pry it out with a small screwdriver, enough to be able to pull it out.
Or remove the entire ashtray and get behind it?
- How many amps can I draw from an add on fuse circuit connected to the fuse box? I want to install an invertor on my 1996 Honda using a fuse add in circuit like this on: http://m.aliexpress.com/item-desc/702894978.html I do not want to install a relay off the battery so is this a safe option to draw 20amps? Though the fuse box. I only want to know if its safe to draw that much current though this method. I know all about the alternators limitions etc.

- How to drive a honda civic hybrid car with out hybrid battery? Bought a car about 4 months ago and the battery is now dead. I check to make sure its not the normal battery and Auto Zone said it was fine. I'm sure its the hybrid battery but i don't have the money to pay 1,000 or more for a battery on a car i just spent money on. Is there a way you can drive this car without the hybrid battery? Or dose anyone know a place to get these batteries cheaper?

I'm thinking maybe if the weight the same or less then factory install. It shouldn't be a problem? I'm a car rookie. Don't know much. But I'm learning.
