Do Honda's have pushrod type valves?

Quick question. I'm concepting a Civic sedan (likely '98) that will have a larger engine in it. I'm thinking about also getting heads with larger valves, but I'm unsure of how a Honda engine works because I'm an American muscle boy.

No pushrods. Hondas are overhead cam engines.

Honda have gone Way past pushrods.

The performance engines will be DOHC with 4 valves per cyl and variable valve timing. Look for a B16 series engine that came in various Si versions of the car.

That gives you a multivalve Vtech engine that happily revs out to 8,000+ rpm, and makes 160+ hp standard. That's from a normally aspirated 1600cc engine. All the fancy tuning work was done in the factory.

NO, this engine is far from being archaic, it has an OVERHEAD CAMSHAFT for STARTERS, and most likely more than TWO valves per cylinder.
