Does anyone have a roof rack on a small car?
I've got a little Honda civic and was wondering weather I can get a roof rack out on it? Is that possible? I'm clueless when it comes to cars so sorry if this is a stupid question.
Many name brand companies make kits for the civic. Usually its four gutter clamps and a a set of bars. The problem you may encounter is what you can carry. Sure two bikes, a few sets of skis or snowbards is one thing maybe even a meduim sized luggage rack. Its the weight you are concerned here maybe even the size. A few hundred pounds doesn't sound like a lot for a car but will dent and or crush a civics top.
Your handbook will give you a maximum roof load.
Yes you can put racks on Honda Civics. It will increase your fuel consumption.
Honda do a rack and many other makers do them. Buy a quality rack to.prevent damage.
The Honda Civic hasn't been "little" since the third generation (1983-1987). Even if you have that generation there were probably roof-racks available.
Ever since the fourth generation in 1988 the Civic has been a C-segment (or lower-medium) car, which is the normal size for a family car outside of North America, so the availability of a suitable roof-rack is expected.
Sure, you can by a roof rack for a Civic. There are various brands. It's limited to a few hundred pounds of weight, but it can carry skis, a Mt bike, or a surfboard etc.
- What's the home button on the roof of my car? My car is Honda 2001 EX, I saw a button which is "home icon" on the roof, but I had no idea what's it for, when I pressed it, the red light blinked once and nothing happened.
- How to tie lumber to the roof of my car? I have a honda odyssey, which is about 16 feet, 10 inches long. I want to transport 2 pieces of 16 foot long, 2" x 12" lumber. What is the safest way to secure these to the roof of my car? I can take back roads to and from the lumber storage place, so I will drive very slowly.
- Less than $50 bike rack for small hybrid? So I have a honda crz, 2012 and I want to take my bikes on a road trip. Clearly I can't stick them in my trunk, and after looking on amazon(it has my price range) I found a few and some said that they would not fit my car, but other bike racks did not have the option to put in my car model and year. So my question is what is a good bike rack that will fit my honda crz 2012 that can handle 4 hours on the interstate in my price range?
