Honda civic A/C not Cooling and smoke inside freon?
How do you know there's smoke inside the freon? Here's how to tell if the A/C system is working. Locate the A/C compressor. It is belt driven and usually at the bottom of the engine. Make sure when the A/C is turned on, the clutch engages and spins the compressor. If that is working, there are two hard metal lines connected to it, one should be larger that the other one. The large one should go to the engine firewall, the smaller on to the front of the car to what looks like a radiator. Turn on the A/C on with the car running and feel the large tube going into the firewall. If it is very cold, then the A/C is good, and there's a problem with the hot/cold blend door in the ducting
- 03 Honda Crv No AC: need freon or blown AC unit? Googled and I guess there's a huge problem with the AC unit in the 03 CRVS to explode and send fragments through the system, thus causing it to not work. Well my AC in my crv does not work, bought it from a used lot in the winter not knowing. When I turn the AC on it does not make any weird noises or anything, it just blows out warm air. It doesn't blow steaming hot but fan hot, if that makes sense. Could it just need a freon charge or could the system be kerput?
- Cooling fan not working, 2004 Honda civic? I've unplugged the temp sensor and put a wire in the plug to test the fan and it comes on when I do that, so the relay has to be working and the fan isn't broken either. I switched the Temperature sensor hoping the old one was just broken, but my car's still over heating and the fan won't come on. It was working perfectly fine until just last week. Anyone know what the problem could be?
