Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla?

If you had to choose between these 2 cars ONLY. Which one will you have?

Toyota Corolla

Toyota Corolla

I have owned both. And no doubt a Honda Civic.

And my reason is biased and old but it still bothers me. The Corolla I owned developed a fuel line break. It was fixed and broke again. And again. It was a design flaw. I could have been killed. Toyota offered no solution. I sold it. To this day I have never owned another Toyota. I have owned 5 Hondas. I have had a few issues [2] but all covered under warranty.

Honda Civic. I currently drive one of the older 90s models as a commuter and it's very reliable, never had ANY major issues for 16 years, all i did was maintain it properly. Had a 97 Accord prior to that. Never had any Toyota product before so i don't have any input on that but i read that they're also dependable.

Personally, I don't like either cars as i prefer European cars (Mercedes, Volvo, VW, BMW and so on). The only reason I bought a Honda is because i need a commuter car and after doing research the Honda was the best option. I'm normally biased to German cars (like my username says)

Toyota corolla, my mom had one for 8 years and it had hardly any problems. My mom has 3 cars, one of them happens to be a Honda civic. It has COSTLY problems. Sand gets stuck between the brake and the wheel very often then we have to bring it back to the dealer. This happens about twice a month. AND the car is BRAND NEW. Honda sucks.

Corolla

Toyota Corolla.

Toyota Corolla. Got two of them and they are so dependable

I had a Honda that had many problems. My parents have a Honda Odyssey, many problems with it too.

Toyota

The Honda Jazz is the best family car ever

I'd take the Civic

Honda civic

I would go with the Toyota.

Toyota! Great service, great service contract and warranty.

Definitely the Civic. I have never owned anything else. They have a lot more power than most other four-cylinder cars. The Toyota Corolla received some of the worst crash-test ratings in its category.

  • Which Car Is Better Toyota Corolla 2003-07 Or Honda Civic 2004-06? Wanna Buy My First Cat In Next 2 Year I'm Currently 16 so i wanna know Which Car Is Better corolla 2003-07(1.3L/1.6L/1.8L/2.0 Diesel) or Honda Civic 2004-06(1.5/1.6L)?
  • What is better a 2014 Honda Civic or 2014 Toyota Corolla? I'm looking at these cars in terms of price and more "bang for your buck." Both seem interesting to me and I have yet to test drive them. The Honda Civic seems like it is the better car based on reviews but the newly redesigned Toyota Corolla looks better than previous versions and is slightly cheaper than the Civic. Which one should I consider looking towards? Please do not mention any other car, I'm only focused on these two at the moment.
  • Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla Altis? Which should I choose? Honda Civic: 1,798 CC 141 PS 5 M/T OR Toyota Corolla Altis: 1,598 CC 122 PS 6 M/T (I like Honda Civic because it has a 1.8 L displacement but I also like the 6 speed manual transmission of Toyota Corolla Altis because we don't have 6 speed manual transmission Honda Civic here in the Philippines) So which should I choose?
  • Are 300cc sport bikes faster than your average car? As an example, Honda civic and Toyota Corolla vs ninja 300 and yamaha r3 I've heard that small displacement sport bikes are faster than your average car, and was wondering if it was true. By faster I mean faster acceleration, highway passing, and cornering.
